I made my first quilt in my senior high school home economics class. A simple
4" patch in white, teal, pink, yellow ... 100% polyester knit Fortrel
fabric. Perhaps not traditional but over 30 years later that quilt still looks
like it did the day I finished it! I didn't make another quilt for almost 20
years. After
my father had a stroke I wanted to make him something that he could wrap around
him and keep warm.
I started Bailey's Quilting Head Quarters to help other quilters find the information and products that they need to turn their pieced tops into quilts. I have a small studio in my home where I keep my ever increasing inventory and my HQ16 mid-arm quilting machine and professional frame. As much as I enjoy piecing a top together it is the actual quilting process that gives me a sense of accomplishment and allows me to be creative.
